Pre-Merge Duties

Before any merge request can be merged, every merge request author has to make sure that they have completed all of their pre-merge duties.

• It is the duty of the merge request author to fulfill the list of duties and to mark them as completed
• It is the duty of all merge request reviewers to verify the correct completion of the duties
• If the duties are not fulfilled (the boxes are not all ticked), the merge request in question cannot be merged.

The pre-merge duties checklist is embedded in the merge request template and automatically included in every new merge request.
